Tom Dean came into the family business in 1978, following in the footsteps of his father, Norman. Along with his wife, Bonnie, he raised three children: Courtney, Kristen, and Travis in Denville; where all three still reside. He is a well-known fixture in town, participating in numerous parade plannings, the National Day of Prayer, supporting Denville Little League teams, and donating his time to many other community projects. Tom believes that treating all people with dignity and respect is the key to being a successful funeral director.

Dave started his funeral career with Norman Dean Home For Services, serving his apprenticeship and continuing on as a licensed funeral director. Dave graduated from Northampton Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and a Certificate in Funeral Management. Originally from Media, PA, Dave has lived and worked in Denville for over 21 years. He lives in the Indian Lake section of town with his wife Tracy and their daughters, Jordyn and Mackensey. Dave is a member of Kiwanis, Indian Lake Community Club and a Hub soccer coach. In his spare time, he enjoys wakeboarding, boating, traveling, and all the local activities Indian Lake and Denville offer. Because he lives and works in Denville, Dave is able to serve people with whom he has a personal relationship, and feels that this connection is a strong motivator in his desire to provide excellent service every day.



KrystalAnn Cherico,

KrystalAnn has truly been a force for good since joining us in November 2014. She has boundless energy and brings a new enthusiasm to our workplace and it is quite common to find her hard at work long after everyone else has gone home. She graduated from Mercer County Community College with degrees in Applied Science and Business Management, and a Certificate in Funeral Service. KrystalAnn enjoys forming bonds with the families she serves, and believes that funeral service is more than a career--it’s a calling. She lives in the Indian Lake section of Denville.







Melany Plewa,
Licensed Funeral Director

Melany joined us in 2022, bringing a heartfelt dedication and refined expertise to her role as a licensed funeral director. Graduating at the top of her class from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, Melany combines rigorous professional training with a deeply compassionate approach to supporting families during life’s most challenging moments. Since beginning her funeral career in 2019, Melany has served families across Morris and Bergen counties, guiding them through every step of the funeral planning process with sensitivity, respect, and personalized care. She understands that each family’s journey is unique and strives to create meaningful services that truly honor the lives and legacies of loved ones. Guided by the belief that life is too short not to be cherished, Melany approaches her work with warmth and integrity, committed to making a positive difference in the communities she serves. Residing in Roxbury, NJ with her husband, Michael, and their beloved puppies, she is deeply connected to the area and values the trust placed in her by families. When not serving families, Melany nurtures her creativity through art, pursues new travel experiences, and cherishes time spent with her family activities that enrich her perspective and inspire her dedication to compassionate service.



Part-Time Staff*

We have several staff members who work tirelessly both with the public and behind the scenes. Mike Koshinski oversees our landscaping, property maintenance and IT systems. Tom Sacco Jr. keeps our facilities clean and ready for each service. Bobby Fitzsimmons, Harry Fahrer and Christopher Holleritter all contribute in numerous ways to make the funeral process easier for the families we serve. They are a priceless support system for our directors and office team.
